Dapper Day recently held another one of their super-stylish soirees at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA. I designed a few new characters for some really cool new merchandise created just for the event. This year’s character swag included iPhone cases, a scarf, a pocket square and lots of buttons.
Dapper Day is a tradition that grows larger every year. Beyond the fun of visiting the parks in your finest, the Dapper Day folks had a whole host of fantastic and fashionable things to do at The Grand Californian hotel including the Dapper Day botique featuring vendors selling vintage fashion. There was a slideshow from the master of all things retro, Charles Phoenix, who presented a special edition of his vintage Disneyland show. That particular presentation sold out days before the event. My favorite feature was the sketch station, where you could have your look captured in style by actual fashion artists. What a great idea.
The celebration continues tomorrow (Sunday March 9, 2014) at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. The Fall soirees takes place Friday September 12 at the Disneyland Resort (Anaheim, CA), Saturday September 20th at Disneyland Parc (Paris, France) and Satruday September 27th in Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World (Orlando, FL).
Just added, The Walt Disney Family Museum in conjunction with Dapper Day will host an after-hours party in celebration of their Mary Blair exhibit.
Visit the official Dapper Day site to read more about this fabulous event and to purchase some of the merchandise available in the shop.
