The great folks at WonderGround Gallery invited me back this past weekend for another Artist Showcase. The Gallery, located in the Downtown Disney District of the Disneyland Resort (Anaheim, CA), hosted signing events on Friday and Saturday evening from 6-8 pm. As always, it was a great time. There were big crowds at the resort for the Memorial Day Holiday weekend, Grad Nights and (most of all) for Disney’s massive Monstrous Summer kick off. Disneyland Park and California Adventure were both open for 24 hours beginning Friday morning at 6 AM and concluding Saturday morning at 6 AM. This special event also included the stores in Downtown Disney. I was able to catch a few hours of the fun. We were at the park until 4 AM Saturday morning. Didn’t quite make it to 6 AM but had plenty of fun in the early morning hours.
My thanks to everyone who came out to the event. These signings are the best part of working with WonderGround Gallery. Getting to interact with the Disney fans is so much fun and a truly rewarding experience. Thank you so much for your support and kind words about my artwork. In addition to friends and family, I had the chance to meet so many new faces. Among the folks who came out for the event were Steven Miller of the Disney Parks Blog. Steven spent time in Disney parks in Florida and California for the 24 Hour event – flying out of Orlando in time to make it to the parks in Anaheim. What a fun job. I also had the chance to meet Kristen Marie of the prolific Mickey and Minnie tumblr. With over 50,000+ followers, her tumblr is the one to watch. I am always grateful when she includes my artwork on the site.
Once again, I would like to thank the great staff at WonderGround Gallery. They always treat me like a rock star when I attend these events and I am so appreciative of their efforts. I can’t tell you what a relief it is to have someone help you slip those prints back into their plastic sleeves. Not an easy task.
I’ll be back at the Gallery in July for thelaunch of the new Hipster Mickey line . Lots of new art and merchandise will be available. Hope to see you there.
